A crypto market map is a visual representation of digital assets where each asset is sized and colored by metrics like market capitalization and price performance, making it easy to scan the entire market at a glance.
Each bubble represents an asset or protocol. Its size typically reflects market cap, TVL or volume, while its color reflects performance or risk, letting you compare many assets visually instead of scanning tables.
Total Value Locked (TVL) is the aggregate value of assets deposited into a DeFi protocol's smart contracts, commonly used as a proxy for the protocol's scale and user trust.
On-chain data is information recorded directly on a blockchain — transactions, balances and address activity — used to analyze network usage and investor behavior.
Real-World Assets (RWA) are traditional financial instruments, such as treasuries, private credit or real estate, represented as blockchain tokens so they can be transferred and settled on-chain.
Tokenization issues a blockchain-based digital token representing ownership or a claim on an underlying asset, with the issuer maintaining the legal link between token and asset.
Market dominance is the share of total crypto market capitalization held by a single asset, most often tracked for Bitcoin and Ethereum as a gauge of capital rotation.
A heatmap ranks assets by a chosen metric, using color intensity to show relative performance, so gainers, losers and high-volume assets stand out immediately.
